While the sea
As wide the wide
Wild sea
And the memories
As old the old
Blissful memories
If the path
So long
The long
Narrow path.
And that beloved
One friend comes
teaching me,
There is no end
Or start
Just the path
The memories
And the sea.

Nice feel of the rolling waves. And how our memory is like the sea.
Great play on the sea, like how the whole piece kind of rolls back on itself, nicely done!
You captured the moment of nostaglia ... lovely picture too~
oh, lovely. I do like your 'sweeter' poetry. Very wistful..
Very nice cadence here, Dulce, and the repetition feeds the sense of chanting a mantra. Enjoyed it much.
I love the feel of the ocean you've created here Dulce "While the sea
As wide the wide
Wild sea"
beautiful poem my friend.
Beautiful. The pictures your prose invoked were so vivid, the sea, mist of time, yearning, learning and, all in a cycle. Gentle, Lovely.
nice the repitition sets a nice rhythm to this...and the path we just keep walking...and the memories they keep us company...
Marvelous write! :) Stunning ending there. I love it!
~ Wistfulness ~ such pining for the past ~ Just lovely ~
As the sea does not begin nor end, this lovely poem has no boundary. Yet, like a perfect musical composition, there is that form, beginning and ending with endless sea.
And time to seek, to change. Short and very sweet Dulce. Thank you for pleasant moments here.
PEACE!
Playing with words. The sea isn't always peaceful and we who live with it know it, enjoy it, watch it, (carefully) and listen to it. It doesn't only hold memories, it holds history and the future and makes the rhythm of every day. Very "sweet" write, Dulce. Thanks
Great creation of the rhythm of the sea through your choice of words.Beautiful.
I love the way you have used repetition here to reinforce the movement of the poem :)
It is wonderful to have your memories 'blessed' by the sea, they so fleeting, it forever.
"As wide the wide Wild sea . ." and "As old the old," the repetition keeps the memories sustained, lets them linger. It so fits the sentiment you convey.
I think you got this exactly as you intended.
Cheers!
all about the journey. quietly yet strongly
written.
