 resolve any of the twelve?

They should be thirteen

instead

It does not seem as if it were

to start

all over again

Feels more like

 a continuity of what

began centuries ago

And

That is lasting

Now

 too long.

Tomorrow is

Another Wednesday

In the middle

As any other

Wednesday

And some might bother and

be mad at it

Tomorrow is

the third day of any week

and the 1200^th of our gay game

Flippant, playful

Teasing

Tomorrow I

will have forgotten you

And you’ll be reminding me

there was a day

when we were

active and bouncy

And it happened on

A Wednesday…

I’d say

so volatile and

ephemeral

as any other damned Wed.

Tomorrow

Will be

Just another

 today...- and that's

Good enough.

Still here, here still

Times we had

when the grass

was greener

when

looking for

was

finding

Spots showed up

before our smiles

Times we had

when that dark

side of the moon

was

meaningless

and the light

was

brighter

the taste

 much sweeter

Times we had

times we shared

and at them we laughed

now gone

but the applause

we still hear
