Scribbling Essence

___________
..
I am a writer
I write
so as to explain what can not be explained
expressing great things through small words

.
I write
for those who can not read me
and never will
guess that is the many other mes...
.
as I write I paint my voice
and make projects of what should have been
and how unlucky it never was
never will
.

I write about  the misery of this and other worlds
I write
for it’s the only way for me to state
I am a writer
.
I write
in an attempt to discern and
unravel
the capital letters
 of  l·i·f·e .

grand poem... you hit the definition of a writer to the T.. lovely words

Cool piece. Love the ending. The way you "justify" your thought process is great, very similar has I think in this respect. The paint my voice line is wonderful. Discernment and Unraveling- love the way that plays out in our writing and in the processes we use to release the writing out. Great job here, Thanks

Those sound like good reasons to me!

YES!
I recently read a quote by Joan Didion, she said she writes so she can know what's she's thinking.
Here's to unravelling...

an attempt to discern the capital letters of life (in lower case) ha love it...write on writer, cause you write well...love that you write for the ones that can not read you...tight

Absolutely love the way you use the imagery to describe what writing means to you

Great verse, we all write for some reason or another, like that your write for those that cannot read you and lower case at the end was great.

I am writer, Heard me loud.
Love the last nail: unravel the capital letters of l.i.f.e...
we write because we have to....codewarriors of l.i.f.e.

nice form for the poem, too.
nice piece...enjoyable read.

this sounds very familiar.. writing is also some kind of therapy as well..unriddling life with a pen in hand..bandaging wounds with black ink..lots of good reasons to write on... and we do..smiles

This poem flows beautifully. I love the message - can relate. I particularly enjoy the imagery of "unravel the capital letters of l·i·f·e". Well done.

..."the capital letters of l i f e"....this is beautiful Dulce....spoken from a true poet!

You've captured why a writer keeps going at it. At least why I do: a bit of therapy and an attempt to understand life, to let it come to me in unbidden words.

Some really nifty lines in this one Dulce--especially that fourth stanza, though I like it all. If you get those letters figured out, let us know.

Indeed, as others say, you get the gist of what it means to write, need to write.

I love the line, "I write for those who cannot read me and never will" - Definitely a favorite here. And, I agree with all the other sentiments, too. The need to write is deep, so write on!

Beautifully written, writer. :D I love the visual you created with your spacing on the page.

If any ever doubted you as writer, Dulce, that time has ended. It is almost as you've grown up in this post. I read it several times, and truly, it is really 'good shit'.

Doubt dispelled, the proof is in the lines and between. When you finally discern and unravel the capital letters of small life, please post what you found.

Surely others, like me, are in that same search. But you explain the unexplainable, Dear Dulce.
NEVER stop writing again...
Love and PEACE!

Many are the reason we write...I especially love and relate to the reason in your last stanza. Nicely put.

This should be dedicated to us all as we, each in our own small way, release the words that are ours.

Beautifully captured and expressed, Dulce.

you write because you are a writer, absolutely. For those who read you or never will, you remain a writer and a very good one, I may add
