hot night

Crickets and frogs
What do they ask for

In their issues

Their sound
And this cool breeze
Through my window

Breaking the serene night
Of my silence.

i love hot nights with crickets and frogs giving a concert and they have never asked me a single question..but you're talking about much more..

dear Claudia,
there is no more to it than the moment itself, I tell you. The questions they ask is just the ritual they are up to... so distant from us...all we can do: be aware of it in wonder, knowing we'll get no answer.

Wonderful composition . . . I can feel the heat, see the beauty.
Nicely done.

The most simplest of sounds have the power to evoke the most powerful of emotions when everything is in place? To me anyway!

Lovely post ~ They make the loudest sounds though at night.

but it is a sweet and peaceful break of the silence, isn't it?

Reminds me of summer nights, growing up in the South...this isn't a northern California summer night!

The image complements so eloquently your poem...
Hot nights, I long for those.;)
Enjoy the heat - as you say, soon you will miss it.;)
Thank you for your kind comment today, have a lovely weekend,

The crickets and frogs are only doing their flirting and making their love known.

(Crickets with crickets, and frogs with frogs!)

Those same sounds are music to my ears--I can HEAR! And sleep well with them--and that cool breeze.
Hugs!

Es muy bonito y dice tanto, puede tener tantas interpretaciones... como el mismo silencio, que sigas disfrutando de este estado, sus sonidos y toda la magia.
Besitos.

This so aptly captures this time of year with its heat and night sounds.

some night sounds are actually quite soothing.

I'm laughing at the first two lines of Steve E's comment!

Dear sweet Dulce
Your poetry is like a river of ink flowing from mind and heart through pen to paper inspired by a mystical connection. Lovely, dreamy and sensual.

Have a lovely week end,
