Another Today

Today this I might

Feel like that queen

Sea-born

Night-loving

Most desired.

Apparent and unseen

I might right now

Feel gold crowned

Illustrious

Lustrous nails

Laughter-loving

Most desired.

By even those…

Reverent minds

Persuading

The most inclined

And also the least sharp.

So I’d be

Aphrodite

Encircling it all

Joined to harmony

For life.

Friday, September 30

one only

Silent
   hot night
Lit by attentive
   Venus
Broken quietness
    by the chirping
Of this one only cricket
One only witness

Both
    observing the dark
And the glittering of the star
Giving us
     no chance
To look
     into the future
And this moment
Remains
     as the only one

What else could matter?
Me
   is you,
   cricket
One and only.

NOTE: Although the pic is one of  the goddess, the refence to Venus here is for the planet, the star, that most shines these nights of crescent moon. It's really hot these days in my place...

Teaching Religion...

Our conversations when too deep

Do not take long

But a bit of it you want to learn

You already know about Neptune

And to him you talk and plead

When big waves come for you

By the beach…

Mars of war

Apollo of music

Diana of the hunt

Aphrodite of love...

And you ask

Mum, who is the god of the ghosts?

No idea

Ghosts as these gods, hun

Are just myths you know?

Of course there is only one real one

Is that right?

So I must hold on to the idea

And answer back

With a positive ‘yes’

Trying not to let him see

That the One is that Old man

Up in the sky with long white hair and beard…

Observing how you behave.

I say God, the One

Is the best and most beautiful

There is in me and in you…

And as I state so

I am astounded by this late discovery

And I get to understand all that stuff

About the soul, the spirit

Higher, inner-power...

That is,

Real Love.

Stirring up passion

Sweetening even

Those random

Often frequent

Adulteries.

Image 'Birth Of Aphrodite' by Tony Crosse

APHRODITE was the great Olympian goddess of beauty, love, pleasure and procreation. She was depicted as a beautiful woman usually accompanied by the winged godling Eros (Love). Her attributes included a dove, apple, scallop shell and mirror. In classical sculpture and fresco she was often depicted nude.

Some of the more famous myths featuring the goddess include:

Fatal Fall

Icarus has also visited

This woman's divan...

His jealousy

As terrible as mine

Brought him

Full of tears

And please forgive me

I can’t help it

I am a flirt...

I promise I did not

Give him anything

To drink

He helped himself.

His impotence

My furiousity

Took him to my high window

And he tried to fly

Stupid guy

Drowned, though he had wings

He could not swim

Reminds me of the times

I’ve also tried to fly myself

And crashed into so many things

So many different types

But somehow I’ve managed

To survive

I guess still a few more falls

I’ll have to try…

Eros Visits Her

Eros,
God of Love and Sex

Has also come here
To stay with a box
Of chocolates.

He approaches from behind
Takes off his tie
And blindfolds her.
First step,
Savour this chocolate.

A relaxed moist feeling
Fills her up
While his whispering taste
In her ears he utters
Those words so intimate
She so much loves
And only he so well knows.

Gentle caressing down
To the place where
She is about to yell out
Such pleasure
Shut up
By the warmest of kisses.

She’d rather not see
But feel this so very sweet
Exalted company…
