OBSTACLES (poem)

Friday, 23 January 2009

Obstacles are our challenge in life.
With no obstacles ,
it woudn't be worth it;
we'd take everything for granted...
Obstacles are everywhere.
They've been there ever since
we were born.
Obstacles are like that big rock in the middle of the path we lead and follow.
Our aim is to learn how to save obstacles.

This I love--and so true--that without obstacles, life would not be worth living.

When we have acquired something through much trial or effort, it seems much more dear to us, be it a home, a vehicle, a degree of learning, a lover.....

Set high standards for ourselves, but have lower expectations when it comes to personal or business relationships.

I like, do you know that?

When I lived on the river in my shanty boat, I learned about obstacles. By observing the river, ever ongoing, moving in that directed place of less, I saw that obstacles are best dealt with by 'going around them'. Better that, than arguing, fighting, flying like a bird against the wind.

For me, love is thus--just go with it, do not fret, never look at consequence of what is right and just. Enjoy each irreplaceable moment as it happens!

Mil Besos, mi amor....
