devotion

I cannot take this lightly.
.
That menacing storm
On the horizon
Quoting my wisdom

Mist caressing the mountains
   Blessing my existence

And presumption
Trust and devotion
Return with that love

Bitter becomes sweeter

More and more
Rather than less and less

Consoling the soul.

I thrive on your words
Of delight
And in your kiss
   Your rest
   Your whisper

The former mess
Now
   so neat.

"That menacing storm

What an excellent turning point in the poem when the harbinger of storm turns into mist caressing the mountainous horizon. Strikes me as an unconditional love poem as much as an expression of positivity.

What a wonderful transformation! A kind word along with some love can make the scariest storm turn into a gentle breeze..
Very beautifully stated here, Dulce... bravo!

There's a depth in that storm on the horizon, but it leaves me with a feeling of things being brushed under the carpet that need explaining. Great story telling Dulce

Lovely, Dulce. Light but deep and fine-drawn with feeling. (And you got to be number one on the one stop list. yay!)

Really cool picture, and I like the whole dichotomy of the beautiful mess. I have often felt this way, and I appreciated your expressions from beginning to end :)

I took it as part of your own words coming back, wisdom planted years ago, that comes back in to play in a new or rvived love. Anyway, beautiful. Top notch.

My favorite part. "Devotion" sets the stage for an enjoyable poem about conflicted emotions. Thanks for sharing! :D

As do these mountains, I hear that storm which loudly speaks, and see and feel the mist which caresses. Both are good.

As for presumption, it is ocean's depth, and I no longer can swim to that bottom. No matters yesterday, or tomorrow. Today is now, this moment...Eternity

However, each owns God-given space for belief, for faith, enduring, and saving.

LOVE and PEACE!

Bitter becomes sweeter....I've found this to be true in life...in love....in everything but it takes time for that bitter to slip into sweet. Hope your week is the best one yet. Everything sweet...☺☺
