There
Left my place
For those longed few days
To stay away
Forget
Find it all in the self
And rest
Left
With no aims
An attempt, yes.
To leave behind
Jack and Mike,
Look inside
And get back that smile of mine…
So I found what looked so much as paradise
Me and my thoughts
A bed and no pets
Temporary retirement...
Avoiding eyes
You find mine
Both sides got high- too high
And we had it
Another while is eternity
Another while is just
What it is
What should have never been
There.

affairs are so fleeting, only tamping the fire, our fingers barely warm before cold once more...
Well, so be it...did you feel better or worse after, that's what I always ask? Of couse, it's been an eon since I've been able to ask myself that question!!!!
yes - agree with brian - it all seems to look so good but in the end...i like your poem dulce and i like the pic - it underlines your words perfectly
LOL!--I'm laughing at RNSANE'S comment...
Dulce, whether your "affairs" are absurd, real, unmistakably bad or good, they make unmistakably GREAT readings. Anyone, but ANYONE must agree the talent you display is a gift which you have carefully nurtured.
You had to study a foreign language, learn to write poetry (mainly by doing it, and reading the great ones) and keep an open mind to your muse--your inspiration! And out of that work you open the gates and flood the blog-world with enjoyment and soul-searching thought.
P/S I sound like your 'agent'--grin!!!
With affection, from "Agent" Steve
i love the simple point of 'what is'
The run to something and away from something and in the end...
Wow Dulce this one packs truth and sorrow
What kind of affairs are we speaking?
Never Mind..let me imagine.
Great One Shot Dulce...As Always!
I agree with Brian and Claudia...fleeting ...not simple.
Oh, my, this sounds like a retreat that was... more. Fleeting, perhaps. Forbidden, most likely. But there.
there is a definite sadness i feel throughout. i have questions though, wondering if it was only imagined, or only emotional. that picture leaves more questions, too...
My computer does not like ur page, but I love it. That's why I waited so long to say, SUPERB. Yes, a sadness I felt, but from real words touching real nerves. You are tops.
In verse that well constructed and leads the reader to continue on, lots of questions are brought forth. This is a compelling piece.
pain, beautiful pain in the elusive pursuit of the self...
Ditto Brian, if I may!
But good writing, as always, Dulce.
Oooh I really love this its like reading a page in someone's diary
there was more to this story unfolding in my mind..very well crafted..cheers pete
You really pull the reader into some private moments. A great piece.
I love the line "temporary retirement"...we try to run away and avoid what is, but we cannot... our lives return and we find ourselves starting again...hopefully wiser for what we have learned along the way and less likely to keep running.
:)
some affairs may be fleeting but that does not necessarily mean at all that the feelings of those affairs flee - ever - sometimes, that is - if there were feelings of love -
beautifully written, lady -
¡Echaba de menos tus letras...! Un fuerte abrazo!!
So good to be back experiencing the words of your poetry, Dulce!
what should have never been, ohh how I have tried to run away from that memory. Those times away are precious, relaxing, and recovering, but then they end and the rest begins again
Enough "there!"...How about some "here"? Hmmmm?
