my you

Is there another
To fill that void

     left by you
One other,
So kind, so gentle
    As you
A man ever thinking
    but of me

So few
    as loving...
As sweet a thee
Might there be
Who is free
To love me
Like you do
My beloved
    My man

My harmony
    My you.

Lovely as always, one has to experience such divine beauty in order to write about it with such sweet music from your soul in prose. Reminded me of a saying from Khalil Gibran.

"Your body is the harp of your soul and it is yours to bring forth sweet music from it or confused sounds."

have a lovely week end

I read so many wonderful blogs, enjoying all of the poetry ... not always having time to leave comments. I couldn't let yours pass me by without saying how lovely this is.

Oh Dulce...now I realize (again) why your blog is named "Sweeter Poetry"...if it was more sweet, it would leave sticky smudges on the monitor--grin!

This poem reminds me of a quote (slightly edited): "What is a friend, one truly loved? A single soul dwelling in two bodies."--Aristotle

And the Liliana painting, ummmm--WOW!--grin!
Love and PEACE on this Mother's Day!

while i have tried to find another that fills his void, and i HAVE tried, it has been an unsuccessful journey - a journey of void - and now i know that to try is futile - because no one can - however, perhaps there is another who may make his own presence in his own way in my heart - perhaps - perhaps.........
beautifully written, dear dulce!
