On Perception

It’s grey

Everyone can notice that

But you insist it’s white

I clearly spot it’s black

As simple as that

But you refuse to change your mind

I climb and crawl

And shout

You tease and bother

And vow

And we compare and confabulate

Then we argue

Then we fight

No more balls

Or somehows

You keep firm

I keep fixed

There comes the battle

And then the war

And years go by

And then there comes the day

When a wise one turns up

To say

Neither was it

Grey.

Perspectives can surely change with time, sometimes it takes longer than it should though, nicely done!

We need more wise men/women to act as mediators in humans conflicts. Maybe we should elect wise men and women instead of "politicians". Nice one Dulce

Yep--everything's subjective, and its about oh so much more than a color--control, identity, dominance...nice capture, Dulce.

Yep! Everyone sees reality in different ways and who can say his or hers is the real one...?
You express your ideas with beautiful simplicity, that's why I like your way of writing.

I like this - I would remove the first two lines though. If you admit it's grey first up then the tension is gone. Otherwise good good!

If only we'd all bend a little in the first place. :)

Love the ending.

Reminds me of the quote "Would you rather be happy or right?" I tend to prefer being right...

Dulce, it really 'bothers' me when a native Spanish speaking Peep writes in English--and makes me 'look up' the words, i.e., 'confabulate'--grin!

But I must reiterate: Your writings have grown in beauty, poetic honesty, and simple simplicity.

Do you write first in Spanish, then translate? Whatever is your manner, each is a gem. Nobody can deny that.

Thank you for contributions, which are now ready for publication in books with hard covers, and pretty pictures on front, titled SWEETER!

Enough out of me today. Love and PEACE always...One of the Peeps!
