Sinless Ego

a time
there is
in one’s life
when there’s a will
a compulsion
to retire
from shows and lies
no need to cry,
display
or hide

it’s not desperation
oppression
depression…
but an immediate call
to discreetly withdraw
freely get off
fights and glows
die a little
much more than the every-day little

that time has come
to slip away
let myself go
into an irresistible
 intimate pleasure
no measure of pressure

where it's me
when it’s me
just for me.

This hits very close to home. I loved the flow of this, tranquil and slow. Thanks for the read =)

That time had come for me more than once...and finally, at the end, it grabbed me by my head and swung me round and round. And for the 'last time' I woke up, thinking those things like you are saying, Dulce-Girl.

After that, something called "happiness" set in, and a new freedom became my own. Free to be ME! I do not know if this is what you are meaning, but this is what I am hearing.

Now, I love life every day, love all my blogger Peeps and YOU, and experience peace, that same what I wish for you!

PEACE!

Couldn't agree more, Dulce. Too often we don't allow ourselves that space and power, and later, it's too late. Enjoyed the sweetness.

This is so good, exactly on target, where I was a couple of years ago.

I also like the *slip away* part for myself right now!! : ))

I'd also like to feel that way, wanting to get away and enjoy a moment for me, where it's me, when it's me

we need our "me" moments

love these lines:
"let myself go

There isn't a chink in the armor here. Very perfectly stated with elegant economy.

I read these words with total empathy. This time is bothprecious and valuable. Beautifully expressed.

This is absolutely wonderful...and you do so deserve a bit of time, just for yourself, out of reach of the world, just for you! Go for it.

I am slipping away.

No show, nothing to prove -- I like that. Life should always be like that. And the wise ones say it can and is.
