Will you defend me

Claws and teeth?
If I get lost in the middle
Of the huge forest trees

and rescue me
From those giant
Open mouth beasts?
If I find myself running
Again along the foggy
Never ending street
Will you come and take
Hold of me?
If I wake up
From this bad dream
Will you be sleeping
Next to me?
Or will it be only
The two beautifully
Framed photos
On my bedside table
All I’ll get to see?

I basically stated that this was like a nightmare, haunting, very deep. I know I have had those dreams, lucid, and wanted to awake and see him beside ME in the BED.
