OBSTACLES (55)

We’ve come to this world
To save obstacles
Our challenge in life.

Without obstacles
It wouldn't be worth it
We'd take everything for granted...
Tiny or huge
Always there.

Always in front of us
Ever since
We were born.

We lead and follow obstacles
Come up and across them
We need them
To go up again...

those really are words of wisdom

We need them or they need us. Obstacles cease being obstacles once we cross them. They become experiences, wisdom, stories, examples and lessons.

So an obstacle is many things if seen in the right spirit.

Wise thoughts Dulce for the Easter weekend.

Have a joyous weekend full of love and gratitude :)

Hi Dulce,
This is a different way of viewing "obstacles". We all need a challenge or a prod or occasionally a kick in the arse, as it may be.

Nice job!

Wise and true, it made me think of those wonderful lines in "A Midsummer Night's Dream"...

"For aught that I could ever read,
Could ever hear by tale or history,
The course of true love never did run smooth".

I loved this! It's a great way to look at obstacles, imagining how awful life would be if they weren't there. Well done and thank you!

My 55 is here if you're interested in reading.

It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come our real work,

and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.

The mind that is not baffled is not employed.

The impeded stream is the one that sings.
Wendell Berry

La vida es un aprendizaje, los obstáculos grandes maestros, necesarios para crecer.
Hermoso 55!!

Happy Easter.

Well said, Dulce - and I agree. I think life is all about the challenges. Without them, how would we grow?

A terrific 55!

We steer around them if they obstruct us.

Ok, I agree! I always think, though... Why do so many roads have such little obstacles and so many others have such huge ones?... I like obstacles, but I've had enough of my own share of them!... Love your poem, of course! Happy Easter, dearest Dulce.

I hate obstacles, Dulce. But I have to admit that once I've overcome one, I always feel like I've gained something... like I've grown. So, it's true that we would be nothing without those obstacles, difficult to overcome as they may be. Have yourself a lovely weekend, Sweetest! :-)

Yes obstacles, we try so hard to avoid them, yet it is us that tends to create a lot of them. I think that is our souls gentle interference pushing us to grow :)
I think we should change the word from obstacles to stepping stones.

And thank you for your great comments on my blog. I think you totally get what I am saying. Your advice would always be greatly appreciated.

Have a great weekend!

I love how you bare your soul and become vulnerable in your writing...I am striving for that!

It does seem that way doesn't it, sweet Dulce. Our lives are filled with so many little and big ups and downs. Pray that we all get through them with grace and peace. blessings.

This is a great angle to look at life.

'Without obstacles
It wouldn't be worth it ...'

I believe that to be true ... keeping the faith however is more difficult. Your poem is a mantra and art. Well done, Duce.
