CONTROL

In a state of contemplation

These days…

You wish you were in control of

The smooth contours of my body and soul

Wishing you could stop it

As you seem to have no control over

Your emotions.

And the only answers you find are

In these words I finely state

Which at the same time

Confuse you so.

For you so often misunderstand

Please, do not be misled by them

I have no other intention

But to take all this out

And away…

You lavish upon myself

But this privacy is somehow

To be kept

These days…

And you really believe

You deserve more

Of course

And though I love that rose

You so sweetly slide over

My most sensual and sensitive sites

Something there is

I’ll always have to hide

You place confidence in this my sweet look

And eyes

And in those moments

When it seems it’s you all I have

Your shoulder

Your embrace

Your caress

So as to dry away these tears

These fears.

These days…

As any other

I am sorry to say

I am out of

Your control.

I can picture the moment with the rose.
Beautiful as always.
I see you have hundreds of followers now. I am not surprised.

reading through your beautiful work, dulce, i can't help but wonder how close to reality this is? you embrace such extraordinary depth while your partner appears clueless as to the dynamics of this moment. your words always impact me with such power!

I'm glad that you are no longer under his spell/power... control does not equal love.

Relationships are such a complicated thing...love the poem. It's meanings and feelings are deep and beautiful. You have such a wonderful talent. I always enjoy reading your poetry.

Canary-Girl...why should you ever be "sorry" to be out from under the control of another? As I understand it, the controller is not the one ever in charge. It is the control-lee who ALLOWS the other to control...in which case the control-ee has significant problems of self-worth.

I'm hoping that in the case of your poem, it is POETRY. But when you write "Your control" in RED COLOR, it sounds like you ought to BOOT OUT whomever it is doing this to you. Sorry, Babeeee-grin

Please excuse another comment coming:

Between Netherlands and Spain, I would reeely enjoy to see Spain the winner. I can visualize the final winning goal, and hear the roar from the mainland all the way across the ocean.

As we live in a Spanish-speaking area, I an certain there will be fireworks here Sunday at 5 PM
--and that is whether Spain wins or (shudder!) becomes one who "fought the good fight"....

Good luck and God-Speed!
Take Care Sweeter Poet,
I love U 2...

Oh well...
'Your control' is in red, Veroni, cause I could not change the color... blogger is blogger as D is D and S is S... and now that you have commented upon it I will not even try again to change that...
Thanks Peep

Thank you so much, Felicitas dear, and Kerrie, Sheri,Carrie some rhyme I can find here in your names ...NICE!

I must apologize for posting and not visiting these last few days... busy at work as you might know. But I am trying to catch up on all of my lovely and beautiful people, right now!

AND-Yes!!! I really DO hope the Spanish team gets it tomorrow... I can't wait to see it.
Please all of you who feel like supporting them, cross fingers, pray or whatever. I am not fond of football at all... but when it comes to Finals and it's my country playing- can't help it-I love it.

Hugs to you all!

Loving your words these days, Dulce. Well, you know I always love your words... but these days especially... there is a tenderness that is harsh enough to break bones. I feel your words... in every way that one can feel... and hope you remain forever strong in your resolve to stay out of anyone's control. You belong to only you... and that should never change.

Sending you warm hugs from this hot part of the world...

i find it a beautiful poem, there you leave me confused between the two concepts of unifying with the beloved and always having to keep a private place within your soul.

I agree at all with Jingle, you know very well everything you express in this poem. It's a great pleasure to read more from you!

I'm also waiting for the FINAL this evening, although I'm not the best Spanish supporter, I'm loyal with my country, so I hope we win the match. Good luck Spain!!

Anyway, we're going to dress to kill!

Sometimes we can confuse control with love so easily. It is good that you saw the difference and escaped it as you did. Very nice piece here. Hope you are having a nice weekend, Dulce.
