A Piece Of Sense

You call my name

And the door opens

Logics says it’s just the wind

Goose bumps all over me

Say it is a magic breeze…

What does this have to do about it?

Let’s see

........

I write while I think

The only way I know

To create without mystery

My life is but this eternal moment

When I make a piece of history

A piece of peace…

That that and that this

Mine is the only life

I cannot hide

If I try

It all makes a bit of sense

All I need right now

To go ahead

A bit of sense

To go and embrace

The one I used to be

But who is no longer myself

Well, maybe twenty per cent!

And yes, the rest

That rest I no longer blame

A bit of sense

All I need

To understand

What I had to learn

For sure it will help

Yet, I feel there is

Another way

To go ahead

I am not singing but could

Not swinging but would

It is that eternal pendulum

Getting back, where it should.

Have a go! >One Shot Wednesday

The air blowing gently in from that open door--I could feel the breeze.

The wind, whether make believe or real, breeds change, on land or at sea.

The day to remember is when one can look at that face in the mirror, and smile BACK at it.

Wherever you are going Dulce, hang onto that pendulum...it spends most of its time in the bottom of the arc, that place of blessed balance!

Hugs to you, my good friend!

Dammmit, that heart is around here somewhere--don't tell me I've lost it.

The pendulum swings . . .

Dulce, sometimes I don't know how to express that which is within me after reading your works.

Wordless . . .

Joy always,
Susan

That pendulum ride is kind of nice, swinging slowly back and forth - as long as it doesn't get too frenzied and sling one off into the distance. This poem was wonderful, every word!

Very nice piece, Dulce!

(I don't wait on pendulums - I swing them myself!)

I loved the eternal exploration of who someone once was and who they are in this moment. This was a beautiful poem.

That last stanza sets the whole poem off. Nice one.

By the way, your link at One Shot was broken (one too many E's) so I posted a fixed link in the comments, just in case.

(I cant' help it, I'm anal-retentive that way sometimes)

Of course, if I was simply more OBSERVANT, I would have noticed that you re-posted your link. (Silly me!)

Profound poem. I read tension, resolution, and leveling humor in your lines.

How ironic I actually use a pendulum...

Beautiful artistic expression, and a stunning visual photo of you?

Your muse, is alive and free, unencumbered and full of creativity.

as always love your writes,

A bit of sense we all need. To embrace who we were, that takes guts, girl. To go back and look at who we were, and be better after and yet understand with a bit of sense.
Beautiful work.

This is so beautiful...

For me this poem means:

When I write I have the sense of deja vu. I write from the pages of my own diary. The story of life with the names changed to protect identities.. or indentity.. ME

The pendulum does swing...I love that analogy. It's about finding our balance which is always found in who we really are. It's about stripping all the layers back and coming back to our true selves, or finally realizing who that is.
I can see why you related to my post, seems we are in the same place.

Hugs xo
