Our conversations when too deep
Do not take long
But a bit of it you want to learn
You already know about Neptune
And to him you talk and plead
When big waves come for you
By the beach…
Mars of war
Apollo of music
Diana of the hunt
Aphrodite of love...
And you ask
Mum, who is the god of the ghosts?
No idea
Ghosts as these gods, hun
Are just myths you know?
Of course there is only one real one
Is that right?
So I must hold on to the idea
And answer back
With a positive ‘yes’
Trying not to let him see
That the One is that Old man
Up in the sky with long white hair and beard…
Observing how you behave.
I say God, the One
Is the best and most beautiful
There is in me and in you…
And as I state so
I am astounded by this late discovery
And I get to understand all that stuff
About the soul, the spirit
Higher, inner-power...
That is,
Real Love.

Dulce, I tried to be 'first', and 'blogger' ate my comment. Maybe sometimes 'blogger' IS 'higher power'?--grin!
This post, yes, so positive, and with wisdom, understanding, and grasp of the spiritual nature of God and the Universe...is OUTSTANDING! It is my turn to write O M G !!!!
You not only are demonstrating your own knowledge-growth, but communicating it so that even your son must understand in some way some of these great Mysteries of Life.
Sorry I am so wordy here, but it excites me to witness another as the 'Light' shines on them. It is another moment which makes living--ah--worth the trouble!
A discovery such as you claim is NEVER 'late', is ALWAYS timely, is ALWAYS God-inspired, IMO!
That 'Old Man' up there is NOT "observing how we behave", He is not "keeping track in a big book" of each of His creatures.
God is, as you write with confidence, Dulce--God is REAL LOVE! And...to quote words from a (stupid) song, "That's What It's All About..."
Thank you, thank you for this, my SO-good friend.
Steve
Though I am an atheist, I really am very moved by your words. The poetry is beautiful and lyrical, but I especially liked this stanza:
"I say God, the One
Is the best and most beautiful
There is in me and in you…"
That is so wonderful, so wise, so profound. And so very true. The real magnificence of the world is the human spirit - a spirit of hope, compassion and kindness. This is one of my favourites of yours, Dulce.
Dulce these beliefs and beautiful thoughts are beautifully spoken...always enjoy your beautiful blog! :-)
Real love...

not only what the words contain but how you say them..beautiful dulce...

Hi Dulce, you site is getting more lovely each time. Just to let you know I made a comeback with blogging, I was MIA for a few months ... stressed and unfocussed. But now am back! missed you guys a great deal. Blessings
A gentle unraveling of the wisdom of the ages, Dulce. No matter what we say we don't believe... or what we don't WANT to believe, it seems we are born with a bit of the instinct inside us to believe... in something... because it makes us feel secure.
Your angel will figure out his own way as he gets older, but for now, you are doing the right thing for him. A beautiful beautiful string of words, my Sweetest!
Nevine
