It might be not as tidy as I like

I might be that good or that bad

People might say

About my life

Send me to prison

Just with their eyes

What they will never see

Cannot

Get this away from me

The love you give me

And I get for free

The love I give you

And so gratefully you receive

Blessed

As a yellow rose...

No matter the colour

And what it’s said it suggests

Through my eyes

It is

As beautiful

As pure

As it is

Our love

No longer a quest...

Hi Dulce,
I've been too long without commenting... With a little luck, today I'll be the first! (OOOps!!... I'll be the 2nd one: Smita Tewari passed me ;-)
Sweet Woman, how can you be so inspired on a Monday?
I often feel bad. I have to be humble and recognize that perhaps I don't have enough intelligence to extract the essence of your poems ... maybe I must not be very sensitive. Anyway, I enjoy reading them: at least it's a way of knowing that you're still here, still alive and always feeling!

Hope 2 c u soon, lady!

Dear Dulce, no one can ever imprison us with their eyes. Let their eyes damage and accuse as they wish. But we are the ones who allow or not. Your words are simple and free. Isn't that liberating?

Hugs,
Nevine

I loved the line "Send me to prison
Just with their eyes" Your hair is now longer... I like that photo of yours. You just look wise to me, and don't ask me how

“The way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy, when you are really happy — not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what is called following your bliss.” - Joseph Campbell

A rose--by any name, by any color--is a rose--and brings love in its fragile velvety-soft petals, of that I am certain.

And it takes only one...not four dozen...although...?--grin!

Whatever is happening to you, or moving in your life, accept it with the enthusiasm only you posses. With your patience, your giving, loving, selfless energies, you cannot fail in any decisions you make.

You are being rewarded. Accept what is only yours alone, no matter the eyes and tongues of others. This is your right, as you have so written.

And reciprocate. When smiled at, smile. When loved...love.

Most wonderful friend-Peep. ♥

Dulce

Your poem has the simplicity, and warmth that the different colors of the rose evokes, shared with a "true" friend/loved one.

Lovely

oh, been there, walked that path and know nevine's words to be true - others can and will do to us only that which we allow - however, it is sometimes very disconcerting to say the least to find that there are time when we feel that way - your beautiful words remind me of a piece i did some time ago entitled "might it be" - if i remember the title for sure -

love this piece, dear lady! ;)
