And The Moment Left Us

There are those who
   Want to go out into
   What is to come
Hurtus conclusus,
...As they do into the past.

Through the unlike interstices
Foreseeing vague approximate
Shadows
Ghosts that might
one day
incarnate
And get to be
   recognized

There are others who
   Do not want to know
   What to them
   Is about to come

Others who
   just want to know
   Nothing.

Joyful it is
   Feeling without foreboding
Giving each day its own desire.

Expiring the present placidity or laceration:
 Joyous and hard.

Because above today’s shoulders
We miss that look into tomorrow
Neglecting- clumsily
This moment
Seeing
   Already missed
What is in our hands
   Not to be lost...

i think it more foreboding to lose today than tomorrow, if you we did not get hung up on yesterdays...

I get hung up on today, yesterday, AND tomorrow--really keeps me busy!

And...if I correspond with one who lives in certain parts of the world--
today IS tomorrow--grin!

Woe is me
The price I pay
Just to see
more of today!

Well written, Dulce. And well-imaged. Many interpratations possible.

I see a sunrise, or sunset, and maybe jumping one day forward--or backward. All the time BEING in today!

Shhhh! Please do not say to anyone that I had to crack open my dictionary

Just being in today is wonderful ... and knowing that there is the promise of tomorrow, but not looking into it, gives all the attention to today

When you don't have that many tomorrows left, it is REALLY important to get the most that you can from the day at hand!!!

I never try to guess what tomorrow will bring. I will never visit a psychic. I am afraid of what I might find out.
I spend too much time on yesterday, if I dont look at what I did, I might not be able to do it better today. I am learning to enjoy today.
It takes time.

oh, if we could only live just in today - but, alas, many of us linger in yesterday, the day that is gone from us, unless and until we decide to change it to the way we want it to be! ;)

Living in the moment seems like a simple concept, yet is harder than it sounds. A beautiful truth, and a beautiful poem Dulce! :-)

OH, it's quite unfortunate to linger in the past, Dulce. But sometimes the past creeps up on us and attacks. Nevertheless, though we get caught up in that, we can still look ahead to a new day. Tomorrow is always filled with those unexpected happenings, bad or good, that will change us forever... until the next happening arrives.

Lots to think about... as it concerns the past and the future... but thinking about the future, I do prefer not to know. It's just that my instincts keep me informed, sometimes to my own insanity!

Loved the words completely!

Big hugs to you,
Nevine
