Time to Say...

IMAGE: adapted from >

Missing You at Christmas.Canvas Print by Charles Plant

Another season
Holly and holy
   Season…

…Of love and family
And those who
 Were gone.

Time to celebrate…
...Always wondered what.

Now I know:

We are together
No
   Matter
       What...

Some
   in spirit
Some
   in distance
Some
  in both.

Some so lonely…
 Or perhaps
   Just alone.

That could be you
     Or I...
....Sitting on a chair
Watching time come
   and go by
As any other day
But

No matter
Time or space.

This life
Or the other.

A smile....
   Comes easy,
From the heart
   To say on this
   Funny day

'Merry Christmas!'

Et cetera!
 _______________
:-)

What a lovely way to wish your readers, dear sweetest. As I sit here miles and miles away, I take this opportunity to blow a kiss to you across ether and shout "Dulce, lots of love to you at Christmas and always."

Much love and warmest hugs,
Susan

Lonely or alone--or alone AND lonely
either nor neither is fun place to be. Maybe that is the 'etcetera' in "Merry Christmas...and Etc."?

Dulce I love the idea of writing which recognizes both those who live on earth, and those whp live AFTER, which is the 'real' life.

Your words of simple elegance are enhanced by the form you have built with them...the placement, the spaces, the dots. For ME, this is what makes written words into art, a painted-like canvass.

This is one of your 'better' ones Sweeter Poet. Thank you.
