Not Today

I cannot try

To seduce you

I cannot smile

To keep you

By my side

I can hardly breathe

Or keep open

...

My eyes

But you can observe

And wait

Till my moment

Comes

Back

To our place.

Dulce, your poetry is always so sensuous and captivating. I can completely relate to this poem. I have been at that place many times, where he must wait until I am open to our place together again. Thank you for sharing it.

¡Ayy!! ¡Oye! me asombra esa habilidad de hacer de lo cotidiano una poesía entera.

How well the human essence is captured here. Not every time IS the time and when IT IS the time, it happens.

Dulce, lovely as ever :) I wish the man is sensible enough to wait and savour it bit by bit.

Joy always,
Susan

so soft
sweet nd gentle
calling yet not insisting
falling yet not inviting
rising
to your distance
like a tiered line
that is missing a word
and a full stop.

space is sometimes all we need to come closer..

If the man has been reading your sweeter poetry for all this time--he will wait...

Opening words of Song:
"If it takes forever I will wait for you...."

And I'm betting he will!

Love ya, Spanish-Girl.
