She is a housewife
and a slave
You see her every day
Washing, hanging,
ironing their clothes
She cooks for them
Shops for them
Cleans their dirtiness
Three grown up sons
And an unpleasant faced husband
I bet they’ve never fried an egg
And wonder how they’d manage
If she decided to set off forever.

Hi my blog friendS
Just anted to add that this is the real story of a twenty first century neighbour of mine...
She seems trapped - not how it should be.
Nicely done.
...has your neighbor "set off forever"? I'm not sure that I'd stick around if I felt so 'trapped'.
Great one this week, as is all your work.
My 55 is posted here [as always, scroll down below my Friday's show n tell.] And, have a great weekend!!
ha! maybe she should and find out...
Well done 55. Interesting thoughts. The woman in my family were always matriarchs. They ran the show and called the shots. Much more boss than slave.
I have a friend who has dedicated an art career to this theme.
I bet you're right!
Well done.
smiles,
Sadly this is so true for the housewives, who work their ass off doing what are considered as thankless jobs :(
no one is indispensable.. thats the lesson of life.
Well I must agree with you, guys really don't do much house work, a bit like me.
hahahaha...
I didn't think this would be you.
I'd think that you'd be a tad more independant.
Excellent 55...
I'm sure millions would identify with this..
Thanks again for always playing so well, and have a Wonderful Week-End...G
very interesting topic...I believe many women are still suffering from the same situation..Good work Dulce..Keep it up!
Hey! Wait! Let's talk this over! Don't Leave!
Too late....she's gone. Forever?
Thanks Dulce for the 55--I KNOW this ain't you!

A woman's house work in never done, nor appreciated, nor paid for, nor......
I'm lucky to have such a great husband. He does much more of the housework than I do.
