Woman Cat

I've got the eyes

Of a cat

Like a cat

I behave.

Very long

With them

I’ve lived.

Like them I hurt

If you try to

Pick me up

From your arms

Like I cat

I‘ll run - afar

Can be sweet

Can be distant

Can be eccentric

Always free.

I miaow

When I starve

Not only

For food!

Like a cat

I crawl

And purr

So you can

Caress my fluff…

I’m not

a Catwoman, but

A Woman Cat.

Most of my life cats have seemed to prefer my company--even though I give them short shrift. Even today, our Bert, age 12, comes to me first, always. Maybe because I "rescued" him when he was 12 cm long...from his cold and wet home in a woodpile.

And just lately, dogs are "taking to me". Don't know why. Maybe as we age, animals have compassion for us?

Peace, Woman-Cat. Keep purrrring!

Woman Cat....Dulce, I love your writings!
My cat Smokey is right beside me as I write these words.
He's a Sweetie...almost 13 yrs old but acts like a kitten at times.

Muy buena la comparación, las mujeres somos un poco así....Woman Cat. Yo particularmente admiro a los gatos.

I liked it. It is a slightly different approach.

D- interesting choice of pics for the text. You are such a riddle to me but the clues keep coming. I have always been a friend to the cat. too much so. They are brutal in nature and if they were 200 pounds, they would rip you to shreds. Still....
Love your post. Purr. ~rick
