TREE TREAT

I need to hug you tight

And feel as tall as you are

I need to hold you

And gain that strength

Which comes from

So down below

And under…

Huge roots

I hug you

And keep myself alive

Confirming

We aren’t two but one

Looking up at the sky

Safe now- I can fly.

Sad to see less and less trees to hug. Great tribute to what they offer us so freely.

Check out my 55 for this week.

Ciao,

You are so good!! Your work is terrific. And may I say, that the centering of your text, being green and the image you used atop your poem...it forms the shape of a tree.

Mine is posted HERE...as always, scroll down below my Friday's show n tell.

We dragons aren't much good at poetry but we do know that if you really want to fly you don't hug a tree you hug a dragon. We fly. Trees don't.
But a good 55 anyway.
