My Year which is ours
Wants to leave
It’s getting old
Expiring
My year which is yours
Needs to come to its end
For it’s tired
Of pains and complaints
But I loved it
And I’ll miss it
As I miss so many others
What is to come is new
Is near, it is true
And it's dear too.
This is the right time
As any time...
Maybe better than
Any other time
To make a record
Of this long short year
About to vanish into the past
As all the rest of the past years
Time to be grateful
And let my friends here know
Why...

You are such a positive force in the universe. I am so impressed by what you write. I herald in the new year with much anticipation and know that it has to be a better one for me. The last two years haven't been the best - 2008 began with a bang ( literally ) - my van was totaled on the 4th, just two blocks from my office in a violent storm when a city tree fell on my van - with me in it - and 2009 began with my job loss. I've had enough of bad things!!
