Each day is worse
Than the one before.
One hour, just another
In a series of unbearable sixty-minute parts.
When eternity is what is facing,
How can there be any patience?
And I promise I won’t do it again
Sometimes I really believe it
And it feels so good!
Could this be that taste
Of hell, which
We came here to face?
Love,
Must get rid of this longing
This waiting...
.
.
Since forever is forever
Never is never, and
Sweetness...
too sweet.
too sweet.

you are breaking my heart with these words...soooo sad.
lovely flow...heavy with sadness...
ahhh love hurts. unless you find true love. then it sustains you beyond need or want. steven
ooh! I feel the sadness. Beautiful words though.
I do feel all the sadness in your words.
forever frightens me. it's just so loooong....
heart breaking...
But the future always holds the promise of hope and the joy of existence ... imagine those promises fulfilled ... forever ... no hurry ... no demands ...
Sorry, I did not see this as total sadness. More like living life on life's terms "one-day-at-a-time", guided by a power greater than yourself or any self.
Every day is not Christmas, and every night is not New Year's Eve, that much I know. But hey, the rains nurture green grass and colorful flora/fauna, and become sunshine the next day.
If you ARE sad, I'm sorry, but that was not my interpretation...
PEACE IS A PART OF SERENITY.
I love all of the offerings on your blog Dulce,
but this piece definitely stands out for me.
thank you for sharing this.
Just finished a book of poetry chronicalling love and the seasons of love - this sounds like a season of pain in the speaker. A part but not the whole
Love to my dear porters friend
Your poem goes beyond a broken heart; almost feels like stepping into that timeless void of fear and humility. Deep poetry.
I just love your poetry. "Since forever is forever..."
The days are longer when you don't spend them with the one you love. Great One Shot!
I suspect it is the title that takes me there, but I see an alcoholic sitting in front of the glass, struggling, fighting the addiction. Very powerful and sad, Dulce.
this is so beautiful... sadness we can all relate to
How sad this is. But, often, love brings sadness. It is not always joy and light.
