Morning Lesson (55) ( +100th post)

'Mum, I heard that bird
Singing as we woke up
This morning.'

'Yes, it always does.'

'So why don't we
Ever listen to it?'

'Why should we?'

'I feel it's trying
To say something.'

'Perhaps…
That there's always
A good reason to get up?

One of them,
And most important, sweetie,
We have each other.'

nobody can say it like a kid can! and how often we take for granted the small chirps of a day

This is so cool, Dulce. I love it!

Bosco and I have a similar exchange every morning, except he adds, "give me my morning chew bone, Mom!" He;s just been crunching on it as I have been reading your poem. :-)

Excellent question, why don't we ever listen to it?

Great 55, Dulce and a good lesson to boot. :D Nicely done.

Yes very touching. I can only imagine how your personal life has to take second place to the love of your son. I guess in a few months I will find out for myself. When Kirsten has our baby.

Very sweet. I always listen to the birds in the morning. If I wake up and don't hear them then that's a sure sign something bad is getting ready to happen.

Loved Morning lesson-had a direct hit with me.

Give me a reason?
She has been there
sharing each morning.
20600 mornings
Through "drinking(3300)and sobriety
(17300).
She is my love, my soul mate.
Just yesterday as I brought her home from the hospital. OK
She said. "we're really blessed, always there for each other."
We both love the song.
"Morning has broken"

Awww. Very sweet.

If it were my mom, it would be more along the lines of "because it's calling out it's territory to other birds."

Oh Yes! "And most important, sweetie, We have each other." In the final analysis, that is the most important thing of all. It is all that matters - loving each other.

Thanks for this beautiful 55 and that sweet reminder.
