You Fool

You got a wrong idea of me

You misunderstood everything

You got me in low esteem

And didn’t dare know me

You fool

Got a wrong idea of us

And did not allow a chance

How could you say you were right?

You got everything, but no glance

I got a fake idea of you

I misunderstood every single clue

What an imbecile

I had you in so high esteem

Of a man you only had

That small piece…

I made a fool of myself

And you made

The greatest mistake

No, I did!

And the dream

Of you and me comes back again

Only because I’m sleeping

Why the hell do I still

Write about this?

Wowwwwww, powerful stuff! You remind me of me because sometimes when I'm hurt and angry, I write some of my most intense and striking poetry.

And do you know why these ghosts keep haunting us? Because the burning emotions that keep the fire going are our own, they came from us, and not the other person. The good news is, so do the good feelings.

I love that picture! The little cat peeking over her shoulder! Tell me, little cat, why are humans such fools? ;-)

I loved the pic. But about the poem, pardon my ignorance, is it about a love lost? If so, I share your same thoughts, just that I put it in a different way.

How do we become such fools? Self-Centeredness, I bet. ME, ME, ME, ME! Ouch! FOOL!

LOVE and PEACE!

Ooh, I think they come back over and over to us until the lesson is learned and we make peace and move on.
At least in my experience they do!
Wonderful piece and what I'd would like to have said to several people at one point or another in my life!

I think he would be the only fool.

Good Poem
Sometimes mixed with the bad is some good. It is that little bit of good that calls back those memories. A kind of a " What If" thought about something that can't be.

Very powerful my friend. I think we have all said that a time or two. But we learn and most likely if it ever happens again, go through it all over. Life is strange sometimes :) Have a wonderful Sunday and an great week ahead :)

Mixed emotions, love/hate, joy/sorrow, stupidity/wise....

You've captured it all. Great job.

I find the times I felt foolish to be the times that haunt me the most.

Very moving poem.

Ahhh... some boys. As they say, 'you've got to kiss alot of frogs before you find your prince." But at least the frogs are good for inspiring great poetry!
