How Weak Was She?

And she collapsed...

The girl

The woman

The lady

The goddess

She believed...

She failed herself

Just by chance

After that so quick glance

For seeing him...

He ignored her

And so did she

But he saw her

As well as so did she.

Inside the huge mall

Of her heart

She lost control

Beating at an unarmed speed

Unaware she could breathe

The glance

By chance

And everything

She had declined

Vanished as ash

In the wind

And because of that

She will be

Once more back

To dreaming

Asleep or awake

All the same

About his smile

His voice

His image

His look

His figure

Yes- just a dream

But this not welcome return

She discerns...

How well she knows herself

She’ll have to start it all over again

An end well deserved

Awaits him

...

Same place.

Words from an old song come back to me:

....Well, what do you know
He smiled at me in my dreams last night--
My dreams are getting better all the time....

Nice poem Dulce, but are you not getting used to the words Nice, Marvelous, Good, Beautiful, Favorite, Lovely etc? Because they are all so true, Baybeeee!

KUTGW (acronym for Keep Up The Good Work). You are intelligent, very talented, and willing to share both, Thank you.

There is nothing you write, Dulce, that is not excellent. I always check here before I head elsewhere!

Starting again can be interesting but a little scary. I think it is the unknown that makes life interesting.

How easily we deceive ourselves! But we always realize it, even as we're doing it... I love your last stanza!

She is not weak. She is open, vulnerable and heartfelt.
Same place perhaps, but you can always move forward from there!
