WITCHES

Their broom sheltered
Under their black masks
They mystify the weird
The enigmas
And mutter
As if from this world.

Classified into
Two main categories:
- Those from the deepest hell
- The ones with angel face
But their eyes always betray
Them witches
With flowers in hand
And a never ending smile

Their favourite snack
Spiders
And snake meat
For brunch.

Jutting their rockets
Joined to furtive wolves
They dance round bonfires
So pleased
Evil their chains
Such cheer

Saw some come out
Of a thick fog
Causing hefty pains
In commission they came

Misplacing the souls of virtue
Their duty, their aim

Their plight obscure
As their long hair
And they trudge
And persevere
They mystify the weird
And they mutter
Pretending
They are from this world.

Chills! Magic chilly words Dulce. Well done.

Dulce, the witches have to pretend that they are from this world.
Not all witches are evil, many are good.

You wrote the good stuff here, thanks!

Tsk tsk, so hard on us witches. Danny's does not serve snake meat. On the contrary, there is a sign on the pot that says, "No snakes were harmed in the making of this coffee."

Dulce- there is actually an amazing amount of truth hidden in here. Some lines are achingly brilliant. I was more drawn into this piece than anything I can remember as of late. Naybe it's the green dress. Damn, I love green! ~rick

Some of my favorite witches are... well, witches!

" When shall we three meet again, in thunder, lightning, or in rain?"

Ans: We meet during our next sabbat on the 2nd of February, a fire festival representing love and light. Imbolc / Candlemas, we call this.

Your writing and green picture are exceptionally well-placed. I have been lurking here.

I am reading this, double dip Dulce, at 2AM on Thursday morning and laughing so much. I find it delightful.

Witches scare me but I would give myself fully to the right one.

I tried to substitute the 'w' with 'b' and read the poem. Hmmmm. Try that. The meaning seems a lot different.

Lovely one dear Dulce.

Joy always,
Susan

Why do witches have such a bad rep? Most are only into healing.

It's nice, but I think witches are not bad ...I'm a good one..jeje. Muaks.:)

Witches have the answer to fuel-less travel...and they heal. I hope there are a coven or two down in Haiti, that;s where lots of healing is needed now--that, and Washington D.C.
