RAIN

Rain

Why don’t you

Just pour

And cleanse

My aura

And soul

Why do you

Just drizzle

And keep me

As if

Round in circles

Need get out

Of this whirlwind

Pour on me

Get me

So wet

And cry...

I feel your need
water can indeed wash away feelings so that clarity surfaces. Lovely poem.

Dulce, I read this and then I went outside to check the weather, I want it to rain so I can take a walk in it and let it flood over me. You always write with passion.

I've felt this so many times....Love the intensity in your writing.

I think I know how you feel (though I could be wrong). Some emotions are hard to express, and thus we're held hostage by them.

I hope you've had your cry.

I know that feeling... of wanting the rain to crash down and just cleanse me... I know it. :-)

Beautiful words, Sweetest! :-)

A dialogue with rain. How many times one feels the need to be cleansed when it rains. Rain evokes that cleansing feeling. Not acid rains though!!!

Joy always,
Susan

When it rains, it pours. But every rain starts with a drizzle, and every whirlwind is felt throughout the universe.

When tears and rain mingle, who can tell what is which?

Dear wet Dulce, please dry your eyes,
I love this poem, but whence inspired?

This reminds me of a day when I was 7.

It seemed to rain forever and my repeated mantra could do nothing to shift it. :)

Sorry I have not left a comment for a while but I have been reading.
The rain drives me nuts but you make it sound so beautiful. Perhaps I should give it another chance, my soul could do with some cleansing.

THANK YOU all so much for these so lovely comments-
You know?
There is an important lack of rain at my place these days... Such a bad influence that is to my heart and soul...!
Whilst most of you enjoy(?) so much snow and stuff...

Lots of love!
:)

Dulce- I tried to comment last night but it wouldn't go. I drove down a highway yesterday where the water was pouring in soft torrents down the rocks to pools below. I so wanted to stop and step under. The sad thing is that I didn't. Your poem made up for it. Thanks ~rick
