- SADDER POETRY

Silly me

I told you to make up your mind

I had nothing to lose

What a fool

Now that I don’t have you

I feel I lost it all too soon

It’s raining

While the sun’s shining

And I am not crazy

All lights are too bright

To see or gaze

My eyes only cried this way

When I was a babe

I can not open them

But keep then close in tears

Of darkness

Sadness

Misery

Silly me

I opened my heart

So wide

That I pulled the doors out

By the roots

So I could miss not

A single breeze of our love

How long will that take

To be mended and replaced

If only they had been made of glass

That would have helped me see

Where I am right now

Now I am here right now

And am not crazy

But it keeps raining

And the sun is shining

Mother Nature

Always so wise.

Those are the biggest and most plentiful of tears. You expressed the loss of love, the empty hurting.

(((((( Dulce )))))) Your pain is clearly expressed through these lonesome words. I'm so sorry to read of your hurt, your tears. Bless your heart, dear.

Sending gentle hugs your way!

That's very hard.
Lleva tiempo volver a ver el sol, pero recuerda que no se ha ido, todo pasa y esto también pasará.
Besos a tu Dulce alma:)

Dulce- my comment got lost. crappy computer. Anyway, I said that we always think if only...when the truth is they would have left anyway. Truth is, they were already gone. And that I liked your passion here. I felt clenched fists and tight muscles fron arms through the neck. Same ol rain-same ol tears. Same ol pain in my soul. ~rick

Beautiful rhythms, Dulce. And the rhythms in poetry are so important. I especially liked the conclusion with your reference to weather and its symbolism. Strong, strong stuff indeed. Yes, indeed it is sad, but you give your sadness a voice and a shape - as soon as you start to shape it, you begin to understand it. You're a true poet. In the heart as well as in language!

mmmmm...."If only they had been made of glass
That would have helped me see
Where I am right now"

moments like that, guess it doesn't help when saying 'better to have loved and lost than to have not of loved at all'...

moments like that...hopefully are few and far between...
