FAR NEARNESS

While I was walking
by your side today,
furious waves
insisting on drawing my attention-
to remind me of
your immutable and loyal presence.

How why

I wasn’t wholly conscious
You were there
There you were

Walking I was
And the furious waves
Only tried to play

The same tune
As my thoughts
Same pitch
Same constant
Whirlwinds

Furious mind of mine

Could hear you,
But was not listening.
Could see you,
But was not watching you.
and so it happened
that I could smell…

The burst… the awareness,
Which withdrew this
constant and vain thinking...

And that cherished contact,
complicity and veneration
between us
returned unavoidably.

My deep blue
blue sea...

How could I dare
ignore you!

Sorry I was with me
It was you
I came to see
I mean
Listen
To your speech.

Our minds drift away like that, we can be somewhere else at the same time. It's a nice thing you put into words.

El ir y venir de las olas, quizás no se muevan, quizás no haya cerca o lejos, quizás sólo nuestras mentes se están moviendo....

Nice! Dulce!

Some people are near always, no matter how far physically.

Every poem you write is so special, painting such an incredible picture for us and I eagerly await the next one!

Sometimes true love is revealed when we least expect it. Sometimes that someone who loves us is "there" though not there. Sometimes they are truly there and we don't see them. Sometimes... we are just oblivious, and we miss some things. But when they show us themselves, those special people, that is the highest pleasure.

Your poem and your image choice... Wow, Dulce! Wow!

For ever and evermore, I wish I could write a composite of all the above comments--ALL of them, so true-to-you, so real, so "Dulce".

Nevine got it put down on paper though, for me.

And do you know, regardless of anything else, I would have missed a whole wonderful (full of wonder!) segment of life, had I not discovered one day last August "Sweeter Poetry"...or should that not read "Sweeter Poet?"

Just simply LOVED this poem, AND the photo which is truest match.

Oh! And I love also the photo (which has been photo-shopped?) NEXT TO (the left) at the top of blog.

That has GOT to be your photo, Sweeter Dulce!!! NICE! Please leave it up there awhile?
