Won’t make the effort
Won’t take decisions
This moment I won’t.
Two paths really are the ones
I’ll choose this, the plainest
Taking it oh so easy
Tired of flying high
Fish swimming in low tides
I observe and smile.

exquisite is the word of the day on sesame street you know. i am just sitting here sipping coffee with my little girls watching sesame street
the fish swimming is a nice touch there at the end...the view can be just as nice from down below and you have so far less to fall...smiles.

oh, to be able to keep it simple, dear dulce! but for me the lesson i've not yet learned - simple was never the path i chose, rather the long hard and complicated one! thanks so much for showing us the simple path in such a beautiful way! ;)

A timely poem for me, Dulce, as I prepare to return to work after summer vacation. I overexerted myself last year, and I was a mess by the time the school year was over. I don't want to do that to myself again. I can't afford to... in fact. So, maybe I will cut and paste your little poem and carry it in my wallet so I can remind myself... because I know, dammit, that I will forget. ;-)

i once read a quote that said that aiming high and not making it is way better than aiming low and not getting it. Well, I don't believe in that, because sometimes, aiming high just distresses us and leaves us tired and disappointed so e just give up, when we aim low, it's very encouraging to reach there and then, we decide on the next step. It's like a staircase, you can't leap from one floor to another, you
have to climb there step by step
This stirs the soul and moves the heart, Dulce. Refreshing, uplifting and very wise. Knowing one's path is the first step.
There's something to be said for simplicity...and the peace that comes with it. I'm leaning more and more towards it, but I'm not quite there yet, primita. :)

Keep It Simple: A way of life! Dulce, I was very unprepared to leave today on my nomadic adventure. And somehow, these words came to me: keep it Simple.
A good friend, sensing my stress today said to me, "You do not have to leave today--why not leave tomorrow?"
